Frequently asked questions
Why not just draw a black rectangle in a PDF editor?
A drawn box only covers the text; the text is still in the file and can be copied or revealed. This tool flattens redacted pages into images, so the hidden content is gone.
Do all pages become images?
Only pages with redactions are flattened. Other pages keep their original, selectable text.
Is it safe to use this tool with confidential PDFs?
Yes. Your PDF is processed entirely inside your browser and is never uploaded to a server, so bank statements, ID proofs and contracts stay on your device.
