Frequently asked questions
What is the passport photo size in India?
Indian passport photos are 35×45 mm (3.5×4.5 cm) in colour with a plain white background. For digital upload the photo is 630×810 pixels and under 250 KB. Spectacles are not allowed.
How many passport photos fit on a 4×6 sheet?
Eight 35×45 mm photos fit on a 4×6 inch sheet with cutting space. Choose the number of copies, or leave it at 0 to fill the sheet.
How do I print the sheet at the right size?
Print at 100% or “actual size” on 4×6 photo paper, or ask a photo studio to print the JPG as a 4R print. Do not use “fit to page”.
Can I change the background to white?
Take the photo against a white wall for the best result. Our background remover can replace a coloured background with white.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The image is processed by your own browser. It never leaves your phone or computer, so it is safe for ID photos and personal pictures.
