Type the 6-character code, or scan the QR.
Files and messages travel directly between your devices over an encrypted connection and are never uploaded to a server. In room-code mode, public relay servers only help the devices find each other, using encrypted pairing data. Some mobile networks and office Wi-Fi block direct connections; a hotspot usually works.

Frequently asked questions
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
No. Files and messages go directly between the two devices over an encrypted WebRTC connection. In room-code mode, public relay servers only help the devices find each other, and the pairing data is encrypted with your room code.
Why should both devices be on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot?
On the same network the devices connect directly at full Wi-Fi speed, and it works even without internet. Across different networks it often still works, but some mobile carriers and office networks block direct connections.
How do I send files without internet?
Turn on the hotspot on one phone and connect the other device to it. Choose “No internet (QR)”, create an invite on one device, scan it with the other, then scan the reply back.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. Large files are streamed in small pieces; very large files are saved to the browser’s storage on the receiving device. Keep both pages open until the transfer finishes.
Does it work between iPhone and Android or Windows?
Yes. It works in modern Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on phones, tablets and computers, like AirDrop or Nearby Share across all brands.
