How does the bill splitter decide who pays whom?
It works out each person’s balance (what they paid minus their share), then matches the people who owe the most with the people who are owed the most, which keeps the number of payments small.
Can some expenses be shared by only a few people?
Yes. For each expense, tick only the people who should share it.
