How to use Scientific Calculator

  1. Type an expression or tap the buttons, for example 2 sin(30) + √16.
  2. Switch between DEG and RAD for trigonometry.
  3. Press = or Enter to calculate. Use Ans to reuse the last answer.

Frequently asked questions

Does the calculator follow BODMAS?

Yes. Brackets are evaluated first, then powers, then division and multiplication, then addition and subtraction. Powers are right-associative, so 2^3^2 = 2^9 = 512.

How do I calculate sin, cos and tan in degrees?

Select DEG (the default) and type sin(30), which gives 0.5. Choose RAD for radians.

Which functions are supported?

sin, cos, tan and their inverses, sinh, cosh, tanh, sqrt, cbrt, ln, log (base 10), log(x, base), exp, abs, floor, ceil, round, factorial (n!), nCr, nPr, mod and the constants π and e.
