Frequently asked questions
Which checksum should I use?
SHA-256 is the modern standard. MD5 and SHA-1 detect accidental corruption but are not safe against deliberate tampering.
What does a mismatch mean?
The file is different from the original: the download may be incomplete or corrupted, or the file has been modified. Download it again from the official source.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files are read and processed by your browser on your own device, so there is no upload wait and no size limit set by a server.
